Butter continues to be the worlds best little dog. Instead of buying him a ton of gifts this year we decided to do charitable donations to one of our favorite charities in his honor this year.
I talked to SpcaLA and they agreed. Donations can be made online. I have given to them since their Hurricane Katrina efforts in 2005.
I haven’t been on as much, I’m having a lot of problems right now. I have someone who is currently theatening to do harm to me. This is NOT someone in the adult industry, however. This person has no idea about any of this.
If you need to get a hold of me you can message me either here or on Twitter. Or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have a backup phone number if you need me to call you.
In the last weeks Cal/OSHA meeting there was a huge industry upset in that they were informed that they are requred by law to use condoms at all times in film, simulate popshots, and no internal cumshots. They said that they are legaly required to do so and have been for at least 10 years. Twitter among the industry went crazy, very angry upset tweets. Many said they would just move to Miami or Vegas to shoot. But is that the best answer? It’s not legal to shoot in either city. People in the valley don’t seem to understand that the whole world isn’t porn valley. If a few insidents take place it could cause a lot of problems. I have even heard that if you shoot in Las Vegas, you could face 10 years in jail. Who knows how true that is. Personally, I don’t want to find out.
On the bright side, and I know nobody wants to hear it, but I’ve had beautiful, above porn quaility model-type girls, and some being actual models and actresses tell me they would be interested in porn, but ‘oh yeah there are no condoms and I don’t want to catch (fill in STD here.) I’ve met other retired girls, some of which were huge name AVN winners that said they would love to shoot again but not without a condom because they feel they can’t be exposed to more STDs. So in some ways I think the quality of performers could get to be very good from this.
I can remember before I got in the industry watching hot movies from companies like VCA and Vivid that showed condoms but they were well done feature films. I remember watching non-condom movies and they were hot also but there was a part of me in the back of my mind that wondered about STD exposure.
If the indusrty does in fact have to go back to using condoms, maybe they should also go back to putting out a higher-end product rather than the gonzo, here’s a couch, here’s some florecent lights, girl fucks, girls gets cum in her face prototype. They may argue that the higher end will lose money but in all honesty because of over-satuation and Internet piracy they will all be losing money regardless. Porn is no longer a get rich quick sceeme and may never be again.
Free Speech Coalition is urging industry members to attend a CalOSHA Advisory Subcommittee addressing the issue of condom regulation on adult production sets, as well as other workplace health and safety issues for the adult industry.
The meeting is scheduled for 10am on June 7, to be held at the CalTrans Building, 100 S. Main St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.
“We strongly suggest that industry members affected by content production, especially performers, producers and talent agents, attend this meeting,” said FSC Executive Director Diane Duke. “It’s possible that this may by the last meeting before the advisory subcommittee offers recommendations to CalOSHA Standards Board. If so, this could be the last opportunity for CalOSHA to hear from industry members on the subject of mandatory condom use and other regulations that will have direct impact on adult production.”
CalOSHA has issued a draft of topics to be discussed at the meeting. They include; STI testing protocol; required use of condoms and other barrier protection (including gloves and eye protection); on-set hygiene; systems for medical services, post-exposure evaluations and follow-ups; vaccinations (HBV and HPV); performer training and education; record-keeping; and producer responsibility for compliance.
The subcommittee meeting is open to the public. While there may not be opportunity for each attendee to speak, Duke emphasized that attendance for this meeting is very important so that the subcommittee has a sense of industry unity and interest in these topics.
This week we are mourning the tragic death of yet another porn star: Cynthia Gillig-Stone, AKA “Echo Valley.”
On the night of May 21, Cynthia was driving on U.S. Route 83 near Leakey, Texas, where she was entering a bar and her car was rear-ended by a pickup truck. It was reported by a state trooper that she was not wearing a seatbelt, thus she was ejected from her car as a result of the rear-end crash.
Cynthia died at the scene.
According to a close friend, she did not wear seatbelts while driving because of her extremely large breast implants. Her breasts were enhanced to size 65NN and were 3rd largest in the United States. State troopers reported if she had been wearing a seatbelt, she would likely still be alive.
Cynthia performed in more than twenty porn films along with being an exotic dancer and escort.
